HealthUnity HIE solutions offers seamless connectivity to healthcare providers running disparate EMR systems. A key component of the HealthUnity solution is an EMR Lite product intended for providers that do not currently use an EMR. The HealthUnity Appliance for HealthVault is a set of products and services that provides interoperability to Microsoft HealthVault. The solution enables each entity in the network to send and receive information with HealthVault in a controlled manner. This obviates the need for each provider to build their own connectors to HealthVault. The providers' existing systems can continue to operate with existing HL7 messages and the capability of connecting to HealthVault is plugged in at network level. Furthermore, the HealthUnity solution provides the ability to record patient consents for publishing data to HealthVault. Providers get to keep a copy of records that are published as well as audit trails. It also enables patient-guided linking of charts at different practices that belong to the same patient.
